Host an Exchange Student! Change a life! in Monroe, Michigan

Good afternoon friends! My name is Liane Golightly and I’m a Local Coordinator for iE, International Experience. I am tasked with finding host families for exchange students. We have 11 days left to try and place 38 students. I have placed 8 students in the area so far for the upcoming school year, and many others in the past years. All of the students go through extensive interviews before being accepted for the program. The students come with their own spending money and insurance. The host family provides a bed, a loving environment and the opportunity to learn about our world while teaching us about their world. The students have many different interest from sports, music, drama, art, etc.... we do our best to match you with a student of common interest. Right now we need families open to hosting a student for a full school year or as a “Welcome Family” (you would host the student for 2-8 weeks while we find a permanent family). We realize that not everyone can host, but if you know someone who would make a good host family we offer a referral bonus for anyone who hosts.
