Welder in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida

Pharus Group is seeking a candidate for the following position for one of our clients. The position is an experienced Welder/Fabricator/Installer who can effectively and efficiently complete the job functions outlined below. Candidates with lead or manager experience will be strongly considered for this role. Position is located in Ft Pierce. Monday through Friday 8-10 hours per day. Some travel may be required a few times per year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manufacturing hydraulically operated commercial door systems/aircraft hangar door systems and installing them into steel, wood, or concrete buildings. Aluminum experience is a plus
• Reading a set of plans and implementing them
• Must effectively accomplish field installs which may require long days in the heat
• Experience driving construction equipment such as scissorlifts, forklifts, and Tele-handlers
• Using a bandsaw, drill press, welding machines, plasma cutting machines, and a chopsaw
• Experience painting with HVLP Sprayguns a plus
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Must have 2-5 years or more experience in Mig welding and stick welding carbon steel
• Welding certifications are also a plus, but not required
• Experience in a fabrication shop, management experience or shop foreman experience would be ideal
• Additional useful experience in steel building construction, metal roofing and siding, structural steel erection
• Must pass a drug test
• Must have a reliable vehicle
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be fluent in English
• Bilingual is a plus
